Prosciutto Squacquerone Lasagna

Ingredients:

  • 1 package lasagna noodles
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 pound thinly sliced prosciutto
  • 1/2 pound sliced provolone cheese
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 egg

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions, then drain and set aside.
  3. Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Stir in flour, parsley, Parmesan cheese, milk, egg, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, and basil. Cook and stir until mixture thickens and bubbles.
  4. Stir in mozzarella cheese, Swiss cheese, and 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese. Stir until melted.
  5. Spread 1/2 of the sauce in the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Layer with 3 noodles, half of the prosciutto, half of the provolone cheese, and half of the ricotta cheese.
  6. Repeat layers, ending with sauce.
  7. Bake for 35 minutes in the preheated oven, or until cheese is melted and edges are bubbly.
  8. Cool for 10 minutes before serving.
